@taniwharugby Is Ben Smith still going to be in the team next year?
Not based on this series.

How many times have we heard in June that Player X is past it?

Jesus. UK presenter saying it's been a very competitive series. The French haven't even got within ten points have they? They got pasted in 2 games and lost 3-zip. Good grief.
France turned up to play though. They tried to play some positive rugby and had us under pressure at times. I think we would have learnt a lot from the series. Winning 49-14 and being up 42-0 at halftime is a different story.

Gonna be a good game tonight, I finally figured out what went wrong in the previous games.
I'd forgotten my most basic rugby-watching superstition... drinking. Didn't drink a drop during previous games = = All Blacks didn't get going.
Typically, there's a fairly reliable 1 try per beer, so today - I've got them stocked, and you can all thank me tomorrow for my morning drunk. I won't remember what the fuck you're talking about, but...@kruse said in All Blacks v France Test 3:

@kirwan bollocks, Against a stronger opposition give me Richie at 10 any day. He should of got at least 30 mins on the paddock tonight, only getting 10 mins when beating them by that much was ridiculous
Problem is both need serious game time at 10. Not an ideal situation.
-
shame that 2 weekends in a row the ref has made calls according to the rules but people will be going on about another incident where NZ get favoured by refs.

Not sure Mounga is a great option in those sort of conditions either. Hard to judge from Super Rugby with that forward pack in front of him.

Don’t be surprised to see Richie get a start against the argies

On DMac - it is quite hard to say a player doesn't do well in a tight game. We won that one by 35 points but it could have been a lot tighter without MacKenzie on form. Whenever we have a tight game, most people here thinks everyone played poorly. So the ten always cops a fair amount of blame.
I think DMac is the sort of player you just have to accept he will probably cost you points at one end and know he is good enough to get those points back for you.

@taniwharugby when is the defending half allowed to move out from scrum. I thought part of the issue was that he got out to early, and into a bad position.

It’s ok, World Rugby will spend 8 hours in front of a replay from 9 different angles before they decide to rule out the try and change our score to 42

@kirwan That's almost the same forward pack he will have in front of him in the ABs.
Which is not always as dominant at Test level as at Super level, which was my point.
Watch how Mounga went with his pack only at parity/going backwards like against the Lions. He looked shit.

@kirwan Ah, bringing back the Lions game again. Let me bring back Dmac's nightmare in the Maori ABs game against the Lions then.
Mo'unga didn't play behind that pack in the Lions game btw. Most of them were in the AB squad.

Yep, fair enough. Both struggle then is your point?
Agree, nice to see some improvement from DMac. The best we’ve looked from Set Piece in the backline in a couple of years.
-
Don’t want Rieko to be taken for granted either, a hat trick and unlucky not to score more.
And just to annoy Bones, went well at centre too.

His pace looked good at centre!

No, that's not my point. My point is that it's absurd to refer to the games against the Lions over and over again.
