JK vs BigRed

Good little high intensity session this morning. Smacked out the old ultimate300 that one of the transformation crews used to do. Takes about 20mins
50 reps each of
Squats @ 50kg
Bench @ 50kg
Barbell reverse crunches - on the bench with the 50kg
Deadlifts @ 50kg
Box jumps
Clean and press @ 30kgDid them in that order and completed each exercise in least amount of sets as possible before moving to the next.
Peice of piss until the clean and press. Think did the box jumps too fast!

Got a saturday session for deadlifts, shoulders and a tweak up of the old arms so week actually wasn't closed out.
Yesterday managed to get out for an hour on the bike so another 20km in the saddle - nothing too strenuious but out around the local beaches and up and down the local volcanoes (North Head and Mt Vic) so a bit of hill work in there. Just looked back and managed over 250km on the bike for August which is a massive increase for me. In no way am I a cyclist but quite enoying it at the moment. Will never catch me in any lycra tho!

Another week flies by
Good training with 3 heavy weight sessions, 50km in the saddle and this morning did a high intensity session which consisted of
50 burpees
3 mins skip
Barbell bench 50 reps superset with 50 reps of bb leg raises (did in 10s)
Kb swings super set with decline crunches - same 50 rep approach
Battleropes superset with cable push downs and cable curls - 20 sec ropes then 20reps of each on cables X 3
Overhead press dropsets - 30/20/10kg to failure x 3
Toe to bar x 50 reps -
Oh and 20mins on the bike to finish but was bit of a cruise to be honest. Spent most of the time watching the swimming at the para swimmign world champs or whatever it's called. A few guys doing butterfly with no arms were awesome, pretty much just porpoising. The dive in looked hilarious tho and as for the final touch with their heads to finish the race....ouch!

Wtf is all this shit......
Anyways, quick post to say still alive and still training, not just punting.
First week back in Auckland for a while and have been to the gym twice already (this year). Trained legs for first time today and felt really good. Light deadlifts, leg extensions, hack squats, hip thrusts, seat calf raises etc.
Been riding a lot in recent times. Mainly offroad / trials etc but a bit on road too. Nothing too serious and certainly no lycra but can understand why they wear that stuff as the other day as I was powering away in to the wind in my roosters shorts and the old fella snuck his head out for a look on more than one occasion. Enjoying the rides though, as I am sure that people walking the streets are too.
Actually did one brutal ride while down at the beach and went around a wetlands trail that a couple of people said 'could' be rideable. I can assure you it wasnt and there were a few instances I had to carry the bike while I climbed and came across a couple of runners/walkers who commented they had "never seen anyone crazy enough to take a bike up here". Anyway, it was about 15km and over 400m elevation gain - approx 1,300 cals for the hour of power.
Otherwise, just keeping fit and even if I'm not overly jacked at the moment, i'm certainly more tanned than usual.
