The Black Ferns Sevens team has been named for the Kitakyushu Sevens (20 and 21 April):

Risi Pouri-Lane - Ta$man
Chey Robins-Reti - Waikato

Terina Te Tamaki - Waikato
Ruby Tui - Bay of Plenty
Stacey Waaka - Waikato
Niall Williams - Auckland
Tenika Willison - Waikato18-year-old Dhys Faleafaga is in line for her debut, one week on from signing a full time contract with the Black Ferns Sevens. Chey Robins-Reti, who was a contracted member of the team in 2017, has been recognised for strong performances in the development team with a national call up.Michaela Blyde, Kelly Brazier, Gayle Broughton, Theresa Fitzpatrick, Huia Harding, Kat Whata-Simpkins and Portia Woodman are all unavailable for selection due to injury and illness. Chabal would be a terrific bass player with those massive mitts of his though.
I'm also gonna go out and say that this is better than the original. I was in the Hawkes Bay doing some vineyards over the weekend and there was a poster for the Proclaimers who played recently and look like a pair of old lesbians.
Can anyone imagine actually sitting through a Proclaimers concert ? you'd spend the whole time waiting for "500 Miles" and they'd play it last.
....and while it's a catchy singalong song it's actually really shit.

With that voice and look if I were his manager I’d probably suggest some sort of death metal type project but there’s no denying people love a good novelty act like him, Vanilla Ice or the tubby Asian guy who sang ‘Gangnum style’

I often looked at Chabal when he was playing and wondered if he was "all there"
These latest antics have done nothing to clear this query up.

Almost any AC DC song would be perfect. If I was Chabal's manager I would have him belting out "Back in Black"

Now you’re just being silly, as if Chabal could match Brian Johnson or the late Bon Scott at their absolute finest.
Of course in terms of singing it extremely low and off key and sounding very much like a second language then the caveman is your guy.

@Machpants It's the last two tournaments that they've disappointed, but they haven't been that bad overall. They won gold in Dubai and Sydney, bronze in Hamilton and Las Vegas. Third in overall standings.

Yeah last two tournaments have really disappointed, you're right, I just hate seeing the team get worse, not better. Flaky. Arrogant Vs minnow teams. Lacking defensive grit when it counts. Only performing when not under real pressure.

@Stargazer yeah losing to Spain, they thought they'd just have to turn up, shitty play that entire match - this will work cos we're great type stuff. They're 15th so far this year, it's like ABs losing to USA
@Machpants Spain is a much underrated team; apparently also by you? They won bronze at the last two tournaments, and also finished 5th twice this year. The only reason for their low ranking (11th) in the standings is that they finished 12th and 10th in Cape Town and Sydney. They are an up-and-coming nation that has already beaten several of the better teams. The AB7s should have beaten them, but I don't see the arrogance. We've had a lot of injuries, and for several of the players that returned from injury in Hong Kong, it was their first tournament in a long time.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not happy with how they have been playing lately; it has been lacklustre at times, but I don't think that there's a single grain of arrogance in it. Maybe underestimating some of their opponents, but that's all IMO.
