I take my hat off to league, every year they find a way to build Origin up and the crowd comes and the intensity is there and the contest like tonight delivers.

Was it Oates who missed Ferguson? Make that tackle, Fergo is in touch, and Qld are setting up for a game winning field goal. Miss it?
Qld need to find some speed. They can not match it anywhere v NSW in that department.
Chambers can fuck off.
We need a decent hooker, Hunt filled in admirably, but it is noticable how he tires badly in the 2nd half, and some of his passing is ropey at the best of times.
Ethan Lowe can stay, he did more last night than Gillett has done in 3 years.

he's the perfect Steve Kearney winger in that he is a massive lump who is good at that first hit up of the set. But he's so slow.
Munster isn't that quick, nor Oates, nor really Gagai, nor Mbye, and not Chambers.
It's little wonder that Tedesco, Addo-Carr, Ferguson, Wighton and Tommy Turbo could easily cover them on the, and worry them when running.

It came awfully close to an all-time choke job. NSW up by 12 with ten to go, and spurned four or five scoring chances in the space of the preceding five minutes, and a few opportunities to just slot a droppie and end it.
Maloney had a dire ten minute stretch which included a horrible kick dead, a charge down, knock on and a missed tackle.
But somehow NSW did a very un-NSW thing and snatched it at the death. What a game.

Back when Qld were dominating , you felt NSWs best chance was to turn it into a low scoring arm wrestle , if it became free flowing , you didnt feel like NSW had the try scoring firepower to go with them ,
Now its starting to feel similar in reverse .

@mariner4life Chambers makes it easier to cheer for NSW now that Cam Smith, Inglis, Slater, Boyd aren’t in Maroon.
@barbarian there’s no doubt that NSW did look rattled in that second half. Nerves and the occasion got the better of them.
