Hurricanes v Blues

At halftime i thought that game was buried.
But once the Canes hit the front, the result never looked like being overturned, despite the close score
Itโs fucking flabbergasting how the Blues just continued to make shit decision after shit decision - some of those โexitsโ were more than embarrassing. Iโll admit that they had a few hard calls against them though. Nevertheless, the Canes were very very good - excellent win.

Compusure and consistency missing- yep.
Both teams have some good young prospects though. And in the past previous Blues teams would have folded.
Ma'a's last hurrah? -
@ACT-Crusader did you see Williams got wrong footed on d for that try. Looked like he was protecting dodgy knee.

The worst part about that was the limp-wristed slap to the shoulder, instead of like being in position or going low.

Blues still have leaders and playmakers who make poor decisions. Plus the Coaches - no excuse for leaving Parsons on, a 40 minute player at best

@kev they have leaders and playmakers who should not be leaders and playmakers in the team.

Different week same tune - poor halfback play is costing the Blues badly. Canes are a good side and were always going to have their own run after the initial onslaught by the Blues.
So many close losses to the Blues this season which speaks volumes about the lack of a winning culture and composure. There are positive signs in their attack and even their defensive systems, but itโs that top 2 inches.

@ACT-Crusader I would have Bryn Hall back any day.
-
@Tim No idea what's wrong with him, but you'd almost think he has glandular fever or something like that.
@Stargazer Or shingles? Something like that? Hope it's not mumps again.
-
Two past U20s hookers - neither of who can ducking throw. Who is training them? Or are they lazy? There are only really two options...

They might put a lot of work on it, but I'm wondering if it's a mechanics thing. It might be like how some guys can't shoot free throws in the NBA despite shooting 1000s of them in practice each month.

You know that SBW's a lock-in for the WC right?
I agree though, nice touches, but is the 2019 WC a WC too far for SBW -

You know, with a change of coach and a bit of luck, next year the Blues could finish as high as 11th.
-
Canes kicking game absolutely schooled Blues in the second half. Blues were stuck in their own half.
Tele'a made a decent fist of 13.
Good that no ABs got injured from either side.
When you re-sign Parsons for 2 years there's not much reason for optimism anytime soon.
The good news is it is the longest possible time until having to put up with the shit show that is the Blues again.
