I've seen plenty of offloading. Depends on the team.

Nope they didn't need to. But right in front of the posts, actually easier than the sideline!

In hindsight, not in this game. It may matter if you finish on the same number of competition points, esp if you're third in your pool and points differential is close.

That one decided top of pool so no PD required.
Possibly a good one to lose for Aus with the rather odd draw.

Kenya play too flat. Need a depth runner to execute the size prospect.
The GB scrum uses an interesting tactic - trap it with the shin of the hooker at the back, to give the scrum half time to grab it.

A lot of teams do that.
The tactics have become much more complex in 7s. Even Fiji took us by complete surprise by chip kicking the first time this decade in the final!

They're the only ones I've noticed - most others just kick it out and throw to the plamaker off the deck.
Trapping it like that is high confidence you won't get shoved off it, which they discovered was not always great against NZ.
