@Stargazer Hatch....I thought it was Creature.
Anyone know the story behind Hatch?
-
@Toddy I was thinking exactly the same thing. Some players have no luck ... he is one of them.

Amongst the noise around restart, I have missed what is restarting?
What's the new format?? Do we only play NZ teams?
"Super Rugby", 10 weeks of home and away matches between the NZ teams.
So it's essentially just preseason games with no real thing to play for?

Just brownie points and pride, so no doubt we'll have an injury toll that makes ACC cry.

For the grounds.
I think it would look and sound better at Pukekohe, than an empty Eden Park etc with the echos ....
Rugby Park in Chch, assuming it is 'lockable'? Can't have (too many) of the neighbouring public just strolling on down for a bit of a nosey ...
and, be cheaper.

The houses surrounding the ground at Puke would have some good parties. It would be like the old EP days with the Scotsman's Grandstand on the roof of the house in the corner.

I assume NMS has much more chance of playing for the Highlanders than the Canes. The Canes have too many good speedsters to claim a spot in the 23. I'm surprised the Canes even made him an offer.

@Stargazer maybe to take up Lowes spot? Was he out for the season or was it only a couple months?
-
I did read that Koroi will be available for the Highlanders too. I assume so will Gregory - more outside backs to compete with NMS.
That should also mean Clarke back to the Blues, Nanai-Seturo to the Chiefs and Rayasi to the Canes.

Ah, makes sense. The olympics is cooked, so we'll get them back.
Just checked the squad - we get Niko Jones as well I assume?

@nzzp wasn't Niko Jones rumoured to be going to the Crusaders or was that just a stab in the dark?

I thought that was Ofa T

Genuinely don't know sorry ... but rumours are often very inaccurate (tautologically, until they aren't of course)

Selected Auckland over Canterbury

@nzzp would be suprised if he went anywhere other than the Blues.

wouldn't want to get stuck behind Akira and Hoskins, would ya?
-

@Canes4life The Canes never provided any info on Lowe's injury or for how long he was out for, but he definitely isn't out for the season. He and Flanders have been training/running together a lot during Level 3 and he looks in good shape.

@nzzp Isn't Jones a openside flanker?
had to go digging!
Jones, a hard running No 8 with a skill set to match, was awarded the MVP for the boy's tournament
