Brian Moore still raging on twitter about it despite WR saying his claims are untrue.

Such a turd, he's actually calling the guy trying to point out he's wrong a idiot

So the bloke quoting anonymous sources makes a claim that every other person categorically denies and he has the temerity to ask who people have bwwn speaking to.

Jesus he's a piston wristed gibbon - I'm sure he has "sources" in the English camp who he could speak to about their position on the cancellation. As @mariner4life said, there's no qualms about the cancellation from their end

It's funny that England had a game they might lose, their coach was openly happy with the cancellation, and yet it's us with the guaranteed win that gets the fury of the fuckwits.

England are the biggest winners in this - despite that I think they would have beaten France comfortably, the physical toll of a schedule of Argentina, France, Australia, New Zealand/Ireland, South Africa/Wales on consecutive weekends would have killed them.

Meanwhile the forecast for Toyota still doesn't look unplayable to me.

72mm of rain (some of which will fall after the match) and winds at 55kmh.

Comparisons to a killer typhoon from the 50s, I don't think they felt there was much choice

                      Yeah nah.

As has been said over and over weather and particularly tropical storms are unpredictable.

Been listening to Devlin on the interwebs this arvo and his first interview was a Japan based meteorologist who said a change of path of only 40-50 km can moved the real destructive zone away sufficiently that it has no effect.

Also, with due respect to Brian Moore (which is precisely zero) Devlin played a clip from Shag which basically confirmed that New Zealand's position was they did not want to play later (so he's right about that), but they would be ok to play it earlier (which he omitted), but they had no say regardless and World Rugby did not ask their opinion (which spoils a good conspiracy/troll).

Go here if you missed it: https://www.radiosport.co.nz/on-demand/week-on-demand/

Very easy to make the right call with hindsight, but I think if they had moved the kickoff forward three and a bit hours to 10:30 on Saturday morning Japanese time, then this game could have gone ahead and everyone would have got back indoors ahead of the typhoon arriving in Nagoya.

                          Lost points. Lost lives.

                          Easy decision really.

I would imagine, given the seriousness of the situation and the unpredictability of the typhoon, this was simply not possible. The authorities had to shut down the trains, and other utilities, the last thing on their minds was transporting rugby teams and their spectators to and from a ground in the middle of a typhoon warning zone
