Not the homecoming Tickner hoped for.

Well the under performing Munro is really going to have to come off tonight, along with the rest of them.

It’ll either be an entertaining chase or we’ll end up skittled for bugger all.

49/0 from 4, just the start we needed. But it is just that chasing this mammoth total, a start!

        Keep going lads.

The handbrake has come on very quickly with the wickets of Guptil and now Seifert.

          49/0 from 4, quickly becomes 61/2 from 6.

Edit 70/4, Munro gone next ball.

What a disappointing run chase this very quickly turned into.

Time to blood some younger batsmen.

                Why isn't Neesham playing?

I think he would have a better chance of producing a match winning innings here than anyone else still to come (apart from Taylor obviously.

Why would you block the ball when the run rate is almost 14?

It’s game over now with our long tail.

Taylor could possibly get us home if he had another batter or two to bat with.

We’re steering down the barrel of an absolute pantsing!

And now Taylor is gone and the fat lady is mid chorus.

                      Neesham was injured.

                      Right spanking that.

It's really really wet here at Eden Park, and I can't seem to share a picture.

                            Not sure play will happen

Stink that the toss decision is so one sided on a rainy day. Everyone leaves the toss knowing the winner is already in the box seat, due to the chasing calculations in Duckworth Lewis.

                              I don't know a better solution though

Do you know the numbers on that? Could only find 50 over matches and a (possibly dodgy) report - nothing for T20.

The conclusion was that the side winning the toss was most likely to win (66%) but team batting first also won 64%.

@Snowy yeah I was wondering if the stats would refute the chasing is easier notion

Quite a fun little wog fest, this game

So NZ bay first in what is now an E11.

                                        Make 146.

England need 2.22 runs per ball.
