so...the swans season ends with a whimper, probably for the best as far as draft picks, hopefully less injuries, a few good signings and the blooding our young squad has got this year will mean a better season next year

@ACT-Crusader the more i read that, the more i think the AA selectors are fucking idiots with massive blindspots Collingwood have been fucking ordinary considering they have 4 of the best players in the comp this year No Gold Coast players? None? Melbourne, Collingwood and the Bulldogs won 28 games between them, finished 7, 8, and 9, and yet contribute 10 of the best 40 players in the comp this year? top work selectors. Brisbane, Port and Richmond won 40 games, finished 1, 2, and 3, and contribute 11.

@mariner4life yep. Startling tunnel vision from the selectors. A number of those Pies and Demons wouldn’t make my 22.

@ACT-Crusader Presumably not Gawn and Petracca!?

@ACT-Crusader Presumably not Gawn and Petracca!? Gawn wouldn’t make mine but Petracca would. Petracca has had an excellent season.

Sen will be flooded today with callers explaining who was robbed , from their club Of course

@kiwiinmelb said in AFL 2020: Sen will be flooded today with callers explaining who was robbed , from their club Of course Not just that but how about they select genuine wings than a couple of midfielders. Surely Gaff in there ahead of Macrae. And I like the Bont, but if he gets picked as a half forward and has only kicked 11 goals for the season, when there are other half forwards in the 40 man squad that have kicked 25+ goals... The man love for the midfielders still reigns supreme.

Selection is rightly copping heat. Just pick midfielders and stuff them in anywhere is not selecting. It's like they can't imagine a team without all of the biggest names in it.

@barbarian said in AFL 2020: The half-forward line is where the head scratchers are. Charlie Dixon is a genuine full forward, and picking Danger and Bont there is a bit odd given neither can hit the side of a barn in front of goal. But you can't have an AA without Bont and Danger...
