This year not huge I wouldn't think. Except I guess Geelong coming good in finals this year

How long since an all Vic GF and it's not at the G?

      2011 - Geelong v Pies.

In the last 20 GFs (2000-2019) an all Vic GF has only happened 5 times (2011, 2010, 2009, 2008, 2000)

        That's it.

Good season, disappointing finish. Cats just too good.

So Cameron has told the Giants he’s going. Surprise surprise he wants to go to Geelong.

Jeremy Cameron is a big cat, so no surprise.

How they fuck does he fit in to that side?

I assume Carlton's paper bag wasn't big enough.

GWS need a hard reset. Their side was always unbalanced, too much high end talent, not enough role players. The talent side seems to be leaving, so get the role players in.

also the fact that the teams at the top of the ladder continue to get stronger through free agency means the system is not working. The fact that a lot of these transfers are the best players from the bottom clubs means teams are stuck in the bottom 8.

Hawthorn are paying the price now, but i reckon they are happy with the payoff of their free agency years.

yeah, i wasn't just talking about money (but he'll get a fat contract)

But you wouldn't want him taking up Tom Hawkins' room.

Just once, i would love the club being left to ignore the players' wishes, and trade him to wherever gives the best deal for them. Jeremy Cameron to North Melbourne would be fucking hilarious.

It's a tough one. Cameron is by all accounts a bit of a country bumpkin and doesn't like big cities. So that really leaves Geelong as the front runner, regardless of where they sit on the ladder.

Plus Geelong have managed their roster well and have no big stars on $1m plus. Ablett is leaving so they've got room for him.

The 'closer to home' thing is always going to dog the expansion clubs, who will keep developing up players to see them leave when they are at their peak.

@barbarian I believe he’s got rural property Victoria. It’s definitely no surprise he wants to go there.

On Geelong’s contracts and cap, guys like Selwood and Ablett would be on veteran contracts which helps when your top players are in that 10+ season class.

Another premiership, all feels a but surreal after the years of pain ,

Dustin Martin is as good a big match player as I have seen in any code , saves his best for the big moments when it’s most needed

Richmond better pressure and able to get the ball forward more. Geelong had many opportunities and probably should’ve had a 5 goal lead at HT.
