Well I'm fucked if I know what's going to happen.

Have had every scenario possible run through my head, worryingly gets stuck on another innings shellacking.

Is it too simple to pray for 6 jaffas to batsmen 1,3 and 4 over 4 days?

This is a mental game to predict, without lazily referring to the Perth game where Oz played the best they have (since losing to Bangladesh 😎, merry xmas cricket ferners) for a couple of years, and we, perhaps our worst.

But with runs and application at the top and a world best bowling quartet, this Aussie team has woken up on Christmas day to find a national team in rude health.

It'd be a win for the ages for us, and on a grassy knoll, we're well capable. But we got a shitty luckless and quirky record when it comes to BIG one offs.

It'll be emotional stuff today, full of dread and relief, hope and disappointment ball by ball.

Test cricket rocks and this is our biggest test in a lot of people's life time.

Win the toss, bat or bowl?

    Is that a serious question?

It's in Aus. Won't be a seamer. Will likely deteriorate. No night session.

Aus will win the toss and bat ...

Aus will definitely win the toss. Kane is hopeless.

@booboo yeah, bat first is the go. Wondering if the pitch renovations don't give both disciplines a chance on day one, talk of a bit of grass

That "bat smash" sensor thing, or whatever they are calling it, looks interesting. Bat speed, angle, etc measured from the bat itself. Pretty cool.

Completely wrong - but, right! 🙂

Kane wins the toss and we will bowl.

I suspect that will make for a less nerve-wracking morning for me, but ultimately won't be a great decision.

Yep. Warner, Labusha, Larbuch, Lububach the Aussie number 3 and Smith are just going to kill us if they get any time and the pitch already looks like it is getting easier.

Wagner strikes, Southee takes a great catch, and we don't have to see Warner doing his little five-foot baby roo jump for a 50.

On a side note, the Australian fans getting pissy on Twitter at NZ fans because of booing is comical.

Needed Marnus to nick one of those that he nearly did.

A bit disappointing to get Burns so early and then only get one more having put the Aussies in. The Oz commentators saying we really needed three having done that and I agree.

Needed Marnus to nick one of those that he nearly did.

A bit disappointing to get Burns so early and then only get one more having put the Aussies in. The Oz commentators saying we really needed three having done that and I agree.

@Chris-B One more would certainly have been nice but they haven't run away with it yet.

@Snowy Yeah - it's not horrendous - but, you want to make decent inroads, because the choice you've made is based on doing so. I want them at least five down by tea.
