Both the Crusaders and Highlanders have selected 7 props. There are differences in the number of loose forwards and outside backs too. Obviously some players aren't correctly assigned to a position.

@Bovidae The Blues site squad announcement page says that there is one more player to be added but does not say which position. I would guess midfield but they did run with 8 loose forwards last season'

Earlier this year, there were a few complaints about the lack of tall locks in NZ. The Hurricanes were playing Blackwell and the Chiefs the likes of Brown, Ardron and Ah Kuoi in the second row.
And now, the selectors let go overseas Sam Caird and Jack Whetton, and let guys like Parsons, Cridge and Will Tucker outside the squads. Where is the logic ? -

@rotated ah, thanks. Superstar though? Playmaker? He does look a little like Jesus had a baby and called it Michael Bublé, I guess.
