@bovidae Not sure if mentioned in the article, but on his podcast he clarified that his "hype XV" was based purely on press comments going into the start of the season, not on form or potential. He wanted to do a list based on fitness and strength numbers, but couldn't get enough data.

The once prolific wing hasn’t played a game of competitive rugby since November 2018, which dates to 22 months on the sidelines.No need to be all over that. They've obviously missed that he has played NPC for Manawatu. I don't think Planet Rugby covers NPC anymore.

At least folks can watch from home....Yep can be played in empty Stadiums under level 2, Blues don't have a game anyway, but that is only place where you couldn't play.

have to say im surprised to see a couple of our forwards in the list (also saw regan listed in someone elses team of the week) given how the general consensus was out forwards were light weight
also hilarious that Nareki made the team of the week but rugby pass also did a Top Five of the week and Garden-Bachop made it and nareki didn't

@kiwiwomble Rugbypass are a strange bunch with their ridiculous player ratings system. I don't trust anything they write about players' performances, least of all any form of ranking.
