@booboo You old bugger! A quick check showed that the capt in tests 1-3 had to leave the field for the last 7 mins of the 1st half with a head gash/injured collarbone in the 3rd test. The ABs were already down a prop at that stage so played with 13 men until after HT. That was the last test for both players.

Now that Rugby has restarted for the year, quiz ideas are popping up left right and centre. Most caps by country. Have extended this out well into the tier 2 nations to make it tricky. http://www.jetpunk.com/user-quizzes/83115/international-rugby-most-appearances-by-player-for-each-international-team

@booboo said in My Latest All Blacks Quiz: @Bovidae said in My Latest All Blacks Quiz: @Chris-B. Yeah, good luck getting those two. Got one. Believe he played on with a busted shoulder. Meadsesque. Grew up in the same house as me in Dunedin - albeit 50-60 years apart. Unfortunately, he didn't leave any of his rugby skills lying around...

@Rugger-Quizzes said in My Latest All Blacks Quiz: Back online after a fleeting visit from the inlaws! Latest quiz. All Blacks Top 5 by category. http://www.jetpunk.com/user-quizzes/83115/new-zealand-all-blacks-rugby-top-5-players-by-category That was tough, I missed the last most capped back, and the last top try scorer.

@Bovidae said in My Latest All Blacks Quiz: @Nepia I thought the top 5 quiz was reasonably easy. It helps that the same name can be across multiple categories. @booboo @Smudge When checking info on said AB (from Men in Black and Rugby Museum website) I noted that he is still alive if the info is current. He turned 94 last week. Yeah was weighing up on doing a feature story on him, but I've heard mixed reports on his health.

Half thinking of doing a quiz which contains every All Black ever. Is it insanity to do a quiz with 1157 answers? Who would have the time and inclination to actually take such a quiz?

@Rugger-Quizzes Maybe compromise and do it with ABs after 1970. For the pre-1960s, most of us are going to be a bit lost after typing in Smith, Brown and Jones...and Nepia, Brownlie, Cooke and Gallagher....

On second thoughts it's maybe a bit too ambitious. Do I cut it off at players who have appeared in the World Cup era perhaps?

@Rugger-Quizzes or the pro era?

@booboo Soooo......you're starting to suspect that your recall of all that Men in Black reading isn't quite as good as it was? Whatever you do RQ, make sure you set a generous time limit. I used to be fantastic at TV quizzes, but these days I find that I know soooooo much that it take my brain a while to find the right answer. It's about as annoying as having to wear reading glasses to assist my previously excellent eyesight. I console myself that the rest of you feckers have got it all in front of you - especially the ones who wear fitbits excessively!

@booboo said in My Latest All Blacks Quiz: @Rugger-Quizzes or the pro era? Hmmm. 1996 Onwards? I'm kind of blinded by the nostalgia of the 1987 RWC winners to not include them.

@Rugger-Quizzes My vote would be 1980 onwards so you include historic tours like the 1981 Boks, 1983 Lions, Baby Blacks etc, as well as the 1987 RWC.

I think I've decided what I'll do now. I was born in 1975 so all All Blacks in my lifetime. Watch this space!
