The quiz wouldn't accept my correct answer (surname) for the 1960 captain. I didn't know the second 1949 captain.

Maybe I didn't spell him wrong ... ?

@bovidae just checked. You're right. Surname only doesn't work. Works for full name (christian-name surname).

also missed 2nd 49 - should have got him as he is usually one of my defaults from that period i.e. one of the few names I know

@rugger-quizzes So I was able to get the ones most knew simply by rolling off Japanese cities. Would never have got the others - EVER

Had a shocker.

Only 5.

A couple i could "see" but just had a blank on their name. Sheesh. Including one of the most successful (think 2007). And one of the least successful (2003).

Really should only have missed the first one. Had no clue. The rest should have been easy. I'm obviously getting old and my memor ... what?

Not that easy. I got 8/12. I knew the background of the 1993-94 coach but couldn't remember his name, and I remember the 1996 Bok coach now. I never would have gotten the 2000-02 coach as I was in rugby wasteland (USA) and never saw any 3N games.

Embarrassingly missed the '95 one, but I don't think anything of significance happened that year in SA.
