Still yet to have a carb but had an issue today in Rotorua. Went out to get a salad and couldn't find one carb or dressing free so ended up just buying some baked chicken. I am trying to eat healthy and not just stick to meat. I have been having protein one meal a day so far but today it will be two meals. Had a Broccoli, Pea and runner bean salad yesterday and it was really nice. Hooroo two weeks ago wouldn't have dreamt he would ever say such a thing.

@Hooroo said in The Future of Hooroo.: I had beer and champagne tonight because of the horse winning. That’s all good though as I want to be able to enjoy a celebration In saying that, I made sure I had no carbs tonight. Hmmm. All I will say is that you are consuming the right sort of carbs. In my opinion.

OK so I weighed in on Monday and I am back up to 130.2 so 1.1kg effect over the weekend. That's ok though as I will celebrate wins. Monday was a bad day too in terms of diet as played ambrose tournament with @JK and there was booze and naughty food everywhere for this fat man! Back on the wagon now though

Obviously the scales are a good way of measuring progression but I feel there's a bit too much of an attention on that. The most important thing should be getting the right balance in terms of exercise, diet and enjoyment. Get a plan in place then ignore the scales for a while. Will get a bit manic checking them all the time and that's not helpful.

I use an app that smooths out daily fluctuations so you don't get disheartened when it goes up. As long as it's trending down, it's all good. Weekly weighins is a good idea.

thanks @Kirwan have downloaded both of those apps. Wasn't pleased that happy scale told me I should be 76 fucking kg at my upper BMI weight range. Boo!! ha ha but I know it'll be super useful for tracking change - now that I've updated it to a genuine weight goal!! Re fasting - what ranges/durations are you guys going for? I've been roughly following a 12 one from when I last eat in the evening. So that can be from 8-9pm onwards. I have been trying to pull that back to 7.30pm latest but that hasn't been easy to stick to. Going to run with the 13 hour option but not from sunset - rather from when I last eat.

@Paekakboyz it all depends on what you are going for, I'm trying to get weight off so started with 16/8 and am currently doing 20/4. Managed to get the last meal around 6.30/7pm at the moment, but I always ate early thanks to the kids.

@Paekakboyz when I did fasting years ago I did 16/8 with my 8 hour feeding window from 12-8pm which worked well for lunch meetings at work as well of course family dinners etc. Also only did it on weekdays and ate regularly on weekends. Lost weight easy

@Hooroo how are you tracking bro? Wanted to give the lads a shout out about that fasting app. Magic stuff! Toying with moving on from a 13 hour window now that I am getting the hang of it. Find that I'm doing at least an hour extra most days. Only 1-2 days where I've had a late night snack and had to wait till after midday to eat.

Gym is yet to start too as been too busy/slack. Paying for it though, so that makes me nice and angry
