Probably Frizzell - Cane - Sotutu with Papali'i on the bench.

Probably correct, but I'd like to see A Ioane - Cane - Sotutu with Papali'i on the bench. It would make the Aussies worry about backrow ball carriers and make space for the fast men outside.

We know Fozzie values continuity and minimal disruption so Frizzell - Cane - Sotutu seems the most logical and tbh I would agree with that. Akira on the bench might be nice but it leaves us vulnerable to a Cane injury so Papali'i 's versatility and ability to replace Fritzell at 60mins or so just makes more sense.

@NTA looks like it might be a wet track. Farmers might be the only happy ones in 2020 with all the rain we have had.

Speaking to a relative who is a farmer last night, he was complaining that there had been too much rain and the trucks were getting bogged in the paddocks...never bloody happy eh?

Nah, knowing farmers they'll switch immediately from complaining there's not enough rain, to whinging there's too much

Hard to tell at this stage - ANZ stadium drains very well as per the Rugbaleg GF last night, and when it is Thunderstorm weather it doesn't usually hit until evening, or not at all. Very fickle weather regardless and I'm wondering how Rennie will play it.

Shitty weather probably gives us the opportunity to play a kicking game like we did in Welly but I'm not sure the ABs will ever be that rusty again.

The Sydney job is perfect for Sam Whitelock, who was ruled out of the Auckland match because of concussion.

The word is that the vastly experienced Whitelock is fit for this one. Excellent. It gives Rennie and co something more to worry about.

I personally think that they should include two real wings.

Jordie at 14 is a bit of luxury and has some major flaws (primarily, he seems to be a bit of a carthorse). Ioane at 14 would make us much more dangerous and we could then bring Barrett off the bench.

Lomax for Nepo looks a good change, and Sotutu should start.

It would be a great test for Aoane to get a bench spot, but we need 7 cover, so Paps it will be. Hopefully at some point this year, they give Aoane a run...

I wonder if we'll get to see Barrett/Barrett 10/15 this year. Probably not for this test but I hope we see it at some point.

Papali'i is almost certain to get the bench spot

I think there's a good argument for having Ioane at 6. The Blues combo of Papali'i/Sotutu/Ioane worked together really well and Cane/Sotutu/Ioane is very similar.

Papali'i covers 6 & 7 from the bench. That still leaves the question of 8 cover. I hate the idea of moving Cane. Ioane covers it better than Frizell IMO

I am sick of hearing about how great Jordie's height will be against a kicking game. White had a great kicking game in Welly. How many did Jordie catch?

It’s starting to grate as much as when the press wanked on about SBW and how professional he was off the field when he had so many mediocre tests when he was actually on the field.

Jordie does score a lot of tries but he certainly benefits from loads of space and not having to run very far.

I banged that drum as an advantage he possessed, then we kicked high to his wing about as often as he made 55m penalties

The Sydney job is perfect for Sam Whitelock, who was ruled out of the Auckland match because of concussion.

The word is that the vastly experienced Whitelock is fit for this one. Excellent. It gives Rennie and co something more to worry about.

It's only Knowler, but hopefully this is true.

"The latter (Jordie) may lack top-end speed when compared to other test wings, but his height will prove advantageous if the Aussies go for a high kicking game through halfback Nic White"

I am sick of hearing about how great Jordie's height will be against a kicking game. White had a great kicking game in Welly. How many did Jordie catch?

yeah...they really are completely overthinking things if height outweighs speed or elusiveness when talking about a winger.

Why has everyone gone cold on Reece? He seemed to have some incredible finishing skills, never seemed to drop the ball and almost scored every time when given the opportunity?

Jordie does that, just heaps slower

scoring in the corner is obviously important for a winger....but thats a minimum requirement...i mean coles does it pretty easily and im happy of the Otago wingers can do that well.

I want an AB winger to, if given some space, be able to beat his mark, skin the cover, draw the fullback and put someone else away...which i dont see Jordie doing from 14

Serious question - how many were kicked to his wing?

@Kiwiwomble I agree with you, who do you think does that the best of the AB's wingers, Clarke, RIoane, Reece, Jordan, JB?
