Auckland v Waikato

Messy game so far. We have them at set piece time but can't seem to string anything more than 3 phases at a time.

I mentioned that Waikato's lack of size out wide (Waaka and Coombes-Fabling) might be exposed and so it was. Waikato got out-muscled up front too, so never had much go-forward.
If Tupaea had scored the game might have been different but Waikato looked a little off the pace all game.
Not the end of the world but a big game against BOP next Sunday.

always a big game between Waikato and the bay, in this weird season it has significant impact for both teams in terms of the comp let alone rivalry

Good finish from us and we were far from our best as well. Having so many kickers in our side helps.
Hopefully Faiane isn't too hurt.
