I imagine the Wallaby game plan will involve bombs and box kicks to Rieko and Sevu.

Is this the first ever AB 23 that does not have a Highlander in it?

A lot will fall on the shoulders of White who box kicked excellently in Wellington. I think Hodge's huge boot will be handy for bombs as well.

Although the box kicks in Welly were only “good” because the wind held them up and created chaos in amongst crowds of people.

Can’t see that happening in Brissy.

Personally I don't think the ABs have properly replaced TKB when he left in 2015. There was a reason TKB was the preferred backup in the 2015 RWC.

Hmmm, I reckon you've pretty much always had at least one token. That's not to say they weren't good, just that there was usually one. Brown, Goldie, Thomson, Naholo...there has usualy been at least one.

Good to see both Barrett backs in their correct position

Will be interested hiw Perenara goes. The old Canes HB 1st & 2nd combination

I don't rate Reece but fair enough eh gets another chance

In spite of the super rugby performance, I think about guys that have been in and around the squad over the last 15 years. There’s obviously the two Smith’s who were mainstays plus the likes of Squire, Dixon, Nick Evans, James Ryan, Donnelly, Nonu*, Naholo, Dagg*, Fekitoa, Slade*, L. Whitelock, Hore*, Cowan*

This is why I never shell out for the games here. Last one I was at was in 92 when they lost the Bledisloe. Remember Campo running around with the cup like the complete twat he is 😡

TKB was certainly much less inclined towards brainfarts than TJP, but damn he was useless on attack. Obviously served his purpose and did the job he needed to do, but I'd want that reserve 9 to take it up a notch. TJP certainly has enough talent but for whatever reason can't stop acting like a complete tool at the worst possible moments.

I am assuming Slade was back at the Crusaders then.

Slade was back at the Saders and Woodcock was back at the Blues.

@Bovidae And who remembers the day at Carisbrook v Ireland in 2002 when Doug Howlett got picked as the token Blues player, keeping Mark Robinson out of his rightful place (and allowing Daryl Gibson onto the wing).

No Ta$man starters that day, or Chiefs, or Highlanders for their home match. But, the coach had the audacity to substitute Joe McDonnell on for Dave Hewett late, to appease the fans.

I was outraged by the substitution too
