It’s worth commenting when he does something right. It’s been rare tonight

The scrum is going backwards and TJ just stands there.

Both wingers have been pretty average eh. Jordan should get a run soon. Clarke would have been good to have.

The No.8 is allowed to reach in and grab the ball now. Geeze Marshall try to keep up.

Instead, all of us suffer the punishment.

To that I say: boo fucking hoo. Call Ofa afterwards and tell him your mangina got hurt.

So you have no good argument? You support red cards but are unwilling or unable to provide any evidence of how it acts as a deterrent. When you get back in a corner by having to admit it is a punishment, you resort to petty insults?

You're making a pointless fucking argument, so I'm giving you exactly what you deserve.

Red cards are there to act as a deterrent by lowering the number of incidents of high tackles because players know it can cost them a lot. Does it always work? No. Players make mistakes. it is a fact of life and occasionally a red card is given out for a particularly stupid or lazy tackle.

And I think Steve Devine and other concussion sufferers think its a good thing.

Flip your shitty argument on its head: why do we still have yellow cards? Why don't players just stop infringing or making maringally high tackles that don't meet the red threshold?

Fuck it - take away red AND yellow cards and piss the ref off while we're at it.

My question is does it ever work? If we are serious about dealing with concussion in rugby then maybe we shouldn't have two 130kg players running into each other. I think the argument is more fundamental than the one we are having.

I don't know how Steve Devine's opinion is more or less important that anyone else's. I'm sure there is a myriad of views among former and current players.

We have yellow cards as a punishment and as a deterrent. A yellow card is given for a particularly bad penalty or succession of penalties. It is designed to punish the team for playing negatively or cynically.

Arguable if that is a good thing based in the quality of the game...

Ok I'm firmly on the TJP hate train. He made no effort to get the pill out of there. Worst scrumhalf performance since that bald dude in 2009. Forget his name.
