If you start with 20 teams making the Top 8 is not reaching the later stages

Even the Football WC which starts with 32 and where probably30 were in contention to get out of their groups they only talk about reaching the knockout phase when they have eliminated half the contenders.

Shit gets serious for them at Quarters. For RWC it has got to be the semi's.
