    @canefan It's a scary proposition either way.

    I’d definitely want the Warriors in a series, but perhaps not in a one off game.

      Yeah. If AD and LBJ are playing, the Sun's will not win a 7 game series. The Warriors will need 4 lights out games from Steph because he's unlikely to get enough help from his team mates

        I'm not confident in this iteration of the Suns advancing in a 7 game series against most of the WC teams, even including the Warriors. They've taken dramatic strides this season but Book has too often struggled to close out games and CP3 isn't going to do that several times in a series either.

            @canefan that too.

            We made some fantastic moves last off season in acquiring Paul and Crowder, but a talented young core of Book, Ayton and Bridges needs more than a couple of wily vets and some lumbering white guys to make the step up to genuine contenders. Maybe, just maybe, some play offs experience will be enough of a boost to spur them on next season but more likely we need another All Star calibre player who can immediately score 20 a night.

              Adams was never really a big part of the Pelicans' offence, and combined with injuries didn't have the season we all hoped for.

                Hornets got raped today. Imagine what the boss man had to say.

                I can not express my glee at LeBron being in the play-in games. I know it's very unlikely but Steph, fucking go son!

                    @voodoo because he complained about the play-in tournament. But only when it became apparent that he was going to have to play in it.

                    He's a phenom mate. No doubt about it. He's also a hell of a person. But fuck LeBron.

                      Pfft, weak reason! The play-in does suck for the team that finishes 7th! I totally agree with him.

                      But I agree he wouldn't have said anything if it didn't affect him personally 🤣

                        @voodoo I can't stand the flops. He started the modern super team trend. He owns the pop culture media (he loses and plays shit but yet his highlights dominate ESPN, Bleacher report etc). His shoes are cool though( I got jr his first pair and I covet them often, shame he's size 13.5 and I'm a 12). I'll take my J's though, thanks.

                        In seriousness he just represents everything that a player should be. He's the most athletic player ever and his pass first attitude is what you coach your kids. But fuck LeBron.

                            @canefan come on, only Garnett was a franchise player. The heat had Bosh, Wade and LeBron. All 3 could have had their own team. Paul Pierce on his best day was never a player to build a franchise around. Yes he was Mr Boston for forever but he wasn't a Wade or Lebron. Ray Allen, fleetingly maybe.

                            You can argue that Bosh was like Pierce at the Raptors. Both were the face of their teams etc.

                            I'm just a hater aren't I...

                              @raznomore @voodoo it was interesting that Lebron also changed his tune about the play-in just yesterday.

                              He was very critical of it a while back and talked about someone should lose their job etc, but the play-in is being widely supported by many ex-NBA players turned commentators. It’s also brought a bit of extra buy in from the fans.

                              So instead of continuing his criticism he just talked up Steph and him being the MVP etc.

                              Smart man that Lebron 😉

                                No way were that Celtics ‘big three’ anything close to the Miami big three.

                                Lebron and D Wade we’re both genuine superstars before they came together (and I don’t use superstar flippantly like some do). Bosh I class as a very very good All-Star, but again he was that player before the move to Miami.

                                When the Celts came together, KG wasn’t yet a superstar, that came when he was at the Celts. Pierce had been an all-Star and he and Antoine Walker weren’t a bad scoring duo, but that was it for Pierce. Ray Allen had come off a big season with Seattle, was 32 years old and looking for some playoff glory.

                                I’ve said it before, but I wasn’t a big fan of Lebron and his play particularly the latter Miami years and return to Cavs, was damn frustrating to watch. But he’s grown on me and I don’t mind him. That 0-4 loss to the Warriors in the finals, he was all class. Then the tough season with the Lakers and then to win the chip the next year with him playing amazing at his age was phenomenal.

                                  I've always been a bit non-plussed re LeBron. But yesterday he posted some more arrogant shit about his scoring feats, claiming once again he's the GOAT. Between shit like that and the "where's my damn respect?" garbage, he comes across a as petulant brat and I'm sure he won't rest or be satisfied until he's universally lauded throughout the basketball world as the GOAT. Which is never going to happen.

                                    @shark you mean this?

                                    He's definitely a bit of a dick.

                                    And he def whines about calls, but he also gets hacked to bits, much like Shaq did.

                                    I dobt have any great love for him, I just don't understand the hate. Is he too woke, too outspoken? I dunno. But he sure does a heap of good stuff for poor kids so I'm happy to overlook his try-hard-ness

                                    And I agree, he's just not the GOAT . I think he'll finish with the best career of all time but he's just not the 1st guy you pick to play the aliens, that's MJ every single time.

                                      Started the modern super team trend? Don't you mean Boston Celtics' big three?

                                      I think you're being too dismissive of that Boston Big 3, especially Garnett. His last year in MIN he had 22.4ppg and 12.8 rebounds, 4 assists and almost 2 blocks while being a defensive beast. He was awesome.

                                      Even Ray Allen was 23/5/5 the year before joining Boston.

                                      They were really good. Obviously not Lebron/Wade level individually, but very very good. And I think they fitted together more naturally than the Miami crew, where Bosh had to learn to be the stretch guy to open up the paint

                                      Remember how awesome Rondo was back then too, yet how awful a shooter he was? Defenders used to sag 8 feet off him. Pretty amazing amazing the steady improvement he made throughout his career

                                        Smart man that Lebron 😉

                                        this is part of why i can not warm to the bloke despite being fully aware of his incredible gifts.

                                        damn near everything that comes out of his mouth appears to be targeted squarely at his legacy. Talk up Steph as the MVP? I just knocked out the MVP, who else can say that?
