And NZ is motorcycle paradise. I didn't appreciate how good it is until I left.

    It is SO fucking good.
I reckon I've now ridden in over a couple dozen countries... 8/10 of my favourite roads are in NZ.

Norway is good. But my favourite ride ever is/was Picton to Christchurch.

I'm def. not an unsociable animal, but I'm also at my happiest when riding alone for some reason.

Same, and I am not sure I can explain why

Next time you want a raw fish fix, I'd either try Ebisu, which is more conventional Japanese fusion food, or Azabu which is a Japanese Peruvian fusion restaurant. Azabu is one of my favourites. The cooked stuff is okay too... 😉

I just checked out their menu, I don't think my brain is ready to pay those kind of prices for Viet food yet.

It's OK. But I prefer my vietnamese food in dingy spots like this

Beef pho is one of my top meals

Yeah, that's the fancy one in Ginza where they jack the price up by ¥30, the fluffybunnies 🙂

It's my son's favourite thing to eat and actually does deserve a place in this thread - he's a fucking kid and doesn't like veges etc, but he's become a hound for kaiten sushi. He gets in there and uses the touch pad like a pro, ordering his Maguro (tuna) and Ikura (fish eggs) and hammering them home.

Hints and tips, that flagship store is worth a visit, but book ahead. We went a week or so ago (booked it two days ahead) and walked in at 7pm and basically got the next available table. People who were there (almost 100% tourists) were signing up to eat and the wait time was 120 minutes.....

8/10 was more of a "vibe thing".
But Mount Everest would be top-10. And perhaps the “Zig-Zag Mountain Road with 72 Turns” also in Tibet.
I vaguely recall a road in Morocco which would maybe be #11. Brecon Beacons up there too.
I really need to get to Stelvio Pass one day.

Great day today. Took my Dad as a belated Father’s Day present to listen to a couple of goats. 🐐 Had a great discussion with Carter and McCaw here in Sydney. My dad even won a signed jersey which some rich punter paid $7500 for lol.

Having this moment with my aging Dad priceless, winning a signed jersey and talking about our own family all black history with two goats just sublime.

Had a lot of down days recently but this was absolutely memorable

Interesting thoughts on NZ rugby from both which will happily discuss in a rugby thread if anyone wants to hear as you can imagine both playing a largely flat bat to most subjects.

Also this is just my own opinion and not fact but would not be surprised if Ritchie ends up with CTE later in life, he has always been largely an introvert but just some struggles in expressing clearly his opinion worry’s me for one of our greatest. I maybe way off the ball but just a thought I got from watching him and talking to him today. Seriously hope I’m wrong

I've had some kind of had covidy/fluey thing and far out is hard to think of words when I'm talking at the moment. I have to really focus to get the words out. Such a mental strain. Must be some kind of brain fog.

Being an introvert doesn't help with being able to express yourself so I can see how that would make it difficult for Richie as he gets older.

Sorry mate, maybe will just answer some questions here. They were asked the question about who was the better coach Schimdt or Razor which was answered diplomatically by Ritchie. Dan added a bit of humour by adding any coach that can increase the value of the Wallabies but still fail to win the bledisloe is legendary. Both argued Razor was a young coach, arguably thrown into this international role too soon, but both said deserved a chance. IMHO sounds like needs to go offshore first.

Ritchie changed his leadership style from do as I do to delegation to the senior leadership group. In terms of a parallel Scooter looks blunted as a leader, Ritchie felt the same until he delegated to his leadership group. Once he did so, he felt like he could play his natural game again and not worry about other areas. Like a lot of leaders learning from mistakes 2007 helped shape him.

Dan and Ritchie were an always “take the three” early pair and often rarely was Dan overruled if he called it. Ritchie reserved right to go for corner if Dan appeared not so certain. He has not agreed with a lot of recent captaincy decisions but thinks he is about 50% accurate.

Both are seriously humble but both agree the difference between good and great is mindset. Both highlighting Jordan’s documentary. Arguably the greatest thing that hold a lot of kiwis back is belief.

More take aways to come but loved talking and listening them

Seriously hope I’m wrong , having Dan there really helped him express opinions. Dan very funny actually
