Least worst option is along the lines of my thinking. I like our chances “comparatively “

I don’t really fancy us away from home against Oz and wouldn’t like England on their home track with home “help”

Since it's the new normal here's hoping for a crowd less final😒

India are no longer bereft of quality seam bowlers, quite opposite actually but are probably the best option of the other 3 contenders for us. Still 50/50.

Now watch the ICC rob of us of our 2 warm up tests vs England 😉

23rd June start date ... and UK is currently scheduled to be fully open on the 21st ...

    Root’s spin is looking dangerous

    125/7 now

Make that 125/8. Root has 3

    Game on

    This is one crazy game.

18 run lead with 2 wickets in hand. Root had 3 overs , 3 maidens, 3 wickets.

A "long handle" 50 could decide this game.

Even game and hopefully this will serve as a curse because Oz sneaking into lords at 2-2 is very much alive...😒

@majorrage all the searches I can find have the final being played on 18 to 22 June with 23rd being a reserve day. Quite an intriguing sideshow

@siam actually, yeah you are right.

Irrelevant anyway, as once the rule changes come in, we won't be in it.

The pessimism of a long time Black Caps supporter. Sad to see.

What a spell by Root, 5-8 off 6 overs. His first 5 wicket haul in his 1st class career. An excellent cricketer.

Now Crawley goes for a first ball duck. Clean bowled middle stump

    Game on suckers!

Wow, not out because of bounce.

Very very lucky in my view.

0/2 eventually, just took another delivery.

A village team would pick the line about as well as the English batsmen in these first three deliveries.
