Forgive my ignorance, but is this a best of 3 series?
NZH suggests it's 2. Lord's and Edgbaston. So I don't understand, the final has been moved from Lord's to Southampton, but we are playing the first test at Lord's???

@voodoo as far as I know, this series was only organised after we got into the final. I think we owe the poms much gratitude for tagging this into their summer which has SL, Pak and India jammed in.
A fine piece of administration from both countries is how i interpret it.Thanks England, India will be rather rusty i think. Nice to get the rub for once

Yeah I knew he wasn’t in line to play.
Strong team, possibly a bowler short but that’s probably the best tail we’ve ever fielded.

Taking a break after the IPL but he’ll be back for the final and boot one of Santner/CDGH out I’d imagine.

As I mentioned earlier we are batting really deep ( always nice to have century makers at 7 and 8 and extremely capable tail enders ) but I’m a tad concerned about the balance of the team and the threat we lose with Boult not being there. Big workload coming up for our three main seamers me thinks.

New Zealand pace spearhead Trent Boult is hoping to make his international return for the second Test against England but may have work to do to convince coach Gary Stead.
Left-armer Boult is set to arrive in England on Friday, having returned home to quarantine and spend time with family after the Indian Premier League's suspension.
