Only a 1 yr deal, so probably DMac's replacement.
I am a bit disappointed by this. Where does that leave Reihana? Would have preferred local talent like Fletcher Smith or Orbyn Leger to cover the absence of DMac next year - and give Reihana some time along the way.
I certainly hope the Chiefs bring an improvement in Josh's discipline off the field. He has talent on it - but needs consistency - and I suspect improvements off the field can help. Bit of a risk by Chiefs though, especially when it is a line-breaking winger that they need most.
Is there word on the 3rd halfback? Is it Nock? Was hoping they might get Luke Campbell back if Hurricanes released him, or Cortez Ratima.

By the sounds of it the Canes are trying to get him back now,To cover for Roigard's injury

Let's see who replaces him. Wrampling? It better not be Poihipi.
I hope Bailyn gets signed by someone else.

hopefully he will, a guy who never quite nailed it. when you thought he had turned a corner he would come up with mistake. his two games for waikato this year were some of his best rugby so thought they may have kept him.
would be surprised if it wasnt wrampling , expect poihipi to be shipped too -
Disappointed by this. He was hard done by for opportunities. I would have kept him ahead of Lowe, Stevenson and Poihipi.

That's the thing. Only a handful of games (8?) over 4 seasons, and not many minutes in total.
Sullivan wouldn't be getting many opportunities in the midfield next year but looked more than useful on the wing.
Actually, the wording of the statement implies that Sullivan may have asked for a release himself.

No, No, and yes.
I completely agree that he has been given fuck all opportunities, because from memory he also had a pretty good start, then suddenly went to the wilderness.
