The rumours about Cruden going to Montpellier are becoming stronger.
The latest edition of Midi-Olympique (Midol) reports that he was in Montpellier last weekend to finalise the details of the deal.
(The same article mentions a possible move from Luke McAlister from Toulouse to La Rochelle.)

While Mitchell did not pick up a full contract with a Super Rugby team following the Stags campaign he has since been called into the Chiefs as a replacement player. He has been snapped up to train with Chiefs in Hamilton through December and January but it is expected that time frame with the Chiefs may stretch out further if it works out well for Mitchell. -

As much as id love to see NMS at the Blues he is with the Canes - its the way the story is written.
I think the reason for the 10s is because they want it to sort of double as a semi Super Rugby preseason - you can get a better cross section of players that way - e.g. Tongan Bear Loni Uhila is playing the 10s - he wouldnt play the 7s.

Disappointed to read this news. I have nothing against Cooper, as he's a good coach, but I don't like the idea of recycling coaches at Super level.
My choice would be Keane but if Cooper is announced as the new Chiefs' coach this week there will be a complete clean-out of the coaching staff. His choice of assistants will be just as important.

Bloody hell. What was the point of bringing Keane in? Cooper as an assistant sounds good.
