The playing group in UAE managed to cover the selectors back home's muddled thinking initially with the Mitchell opening hail mary, and it has worked. Can they get a decent number 4 or 5 out of Chapman or Seiffert?
Seiffert to 5, and promote Phillips up one place to 4.
Better options: either Allen or Munro opening with Mitchell in middle order, or Latham straight swap. Admittedly, I wouldn't have considered Latham until that Bangla series.

I really thought with Alfridi having a couple of overs up his sleeve he would be vital in terms of knocking over the tail , however did not count on Stoinis & Wade. -

I'm similar. Achievement is getting there - winning is icing on the cake for me. Oh, it would be sweet to beat AUs in a major game though ... but they are a seroiusly good side.

I've watched it live and just watched a replay and that was something else from Wade. Talk about not being rattled about being dropped and making hay! That middle six was massive.
I'm ultra pleased for Shoiab Akthar!! Tool!
Am gutted for the poor soul who dropped Wade though. That will haunt you for a very long time I imagine.

My rant earlier about squad make up. Is actually irrelevant as only replacement could be keeper. So can only be Seiffert.
As for outside of squad, yes Latham an option, but not part of our T20 plans over years, and I do like our test openers not spreading their time too thinly.
