Gibson is definitely a star. Number 6 could be his best position, with Sam Cane about?

Skill level was amazing. Almost no scrums. Great game! :D

Blake Gibson ,im not going to say future Allblack yet because I would like to see more of him first , but that was pretty impressive for a 20 year old in that position

He's definitely got blindside physicality, but I think 7 is his best position. Sort of short for a 6 too.

Now you know why Karpik ran away from Auckland. Lots of Blues fans were crying over not picking up Karpik, but they had no idea how good Gibson was. Gibson has always been rated higher than Karpik but has had less media hype for some reason.

Sorry AM I was trying to be funny. I know who Karpik is and have seen him play quite a few times. He's okay but even at this stage he doesn't read the game like Gibson showed for the u20s or in the ITM Cup.

If Gibson was not injured during the ITM Cup, Karpik sits on the bench. At the end of last year, Feeney was asked to talk about the young players in Auckland, and he mentioned Blake Gibson, along with TJ Faiane, as two players he thought were special and would go on to be All Blacks.

Karpik is definitely good though, but Gibson can do everything he can do, but better.

Impressed with a number of guys on both sides. Apparently I missed rugby

                                      There's some highlights on youtube.

Cracking game. Really high quality.

I was very impressed by the Blues decision making. Really sharp. Guys like Visinia and Li looked like different players. Ofa T too - his workrate around the field was top notch - looks extremely fit.

Only one game but a very good start and yep Gibson is a gun - he showed he is already at this level. Thought Ioane looked like he lacked some bulk thanks to the 7s - not surprised.
