for some reason i thought they were more popular than they actually were.
"Hanging Tough" shifted 8m units in the US which is pretty good, but nothing else comes close to that.

and here I was going to suggest Flash and the Pan as something, that is still relaxing hearing it, although dated as Fk and probably uncool ...

Yeah. It's lyrics are so bad they're good and it doesn't sound terrible to me at least.
Or I just have terrible taste in music.
