Rabada is having a field day, which is embarrassing for our bowlers.

I guess that’s how Matt Henry made them feel last week.

a week is a long time in Test Cricket

Southee allowed him plenty of room to swing his arms over and over again, no wonder he was dragged it was was a terrible spell. Short is fine as long as it is well directed as shown by the ball that got the wicket
Meanwhile Latham is going to also have to deliver to beat his SA batting average x 10 if we are not to cave chasing.

A little bit, though Henry has a FC average above 20 with 6 50s, so can at least hold a bat

So much for finally winning a series against SA. If NZ gets over the line, they will have earned it.

we're getting reamed, and it doesn't feel good.
I was musing earlier today the dropped catches early were massive - but 80 runs isn't going to matter much here I fear.
-
Honestly, I thought they had a long tail, and from 8 onwards we'd have a crack at rolling them cheaply.
this is all my fault. I apologise.

It takes a big man to apologise on the fern. In fact I’m fairly sure I’ve never seen it happen. Ever.

I ate well over Christmas.

they declare, we are fucked.
real nice series win we had going there for a while.
-
Unfortunately, this seems like one of those situations where the tail is going to make it look easy and then our top order won't be able to lay a bat on it.

The respective first innings set up the game. Those dropped catches were massive, as was the dopey batting when we got sub-300 on a road.
It may feel like the game shifted today, but it didn't really. That was about a 150 run swing back there on the first few days.

questions over captaincy? 230-odd overs bowled, and Park Cricket Colin only bowled 14 of them. That's a lot of overs on the four front liners.
