I will to have laugh if we do the unimaginable at this stage and do survive tomorrow, as that will probably mean massive contributions with the bat from both Mitchell and CDG in this test.. cricket can be funny at times

Source: Cricinfo.That's not total pants for an opener against anyone except SA - and pretty poor vs Oz, but I'm guessing he's no orphan there. I'm happy enough with his record against England, India and Pakistan and one of my frustrations with plenty of NZ batsmen is their failure to cash in against the minnows - which Tom has done in spades.

Pretty much that simple. The rest are guys to bad for a good time but not a long time.
He could save this test, enable us to win the series and be a deadset hero. Fingers crossed.
