Did we bowl badly? Not really. We just lacked a bit of venom. But this was always going to be a batters test because of the pitch and conditions. We didn’t score enough in the first innings and the Proteas second innings was superb.

He's nothing like a Mathew Sinclair type of player - Conway has far more composure, he's shown that in tests & the white ball stuff... Williamson & him would have to be the first two batsmen selected in any format of the game.

It would be a superb effort by Conway & Blundell if they played a major part in getting us through to a draw... the percentage is very low that we will get there, but still a chance.

When getting out of the way of short balls I prefer the method of standing tall & swaying out the way compared to ducking where players tend to take their eye off the ball so get hit a fair bit... with the height Jamieson has he'd be better to be upright & sway out the way, when he ducks down he looks so bloody awkward & gets into all sorts of trouble.
