The greatest crowd in NRL cripple fight history 😀

Well done boys, but man our attack is so painful to watch. I used to be a big SJ fan and would love it when he took on the line and then show some vision, but currently he would have to be the best hospital passing halfback in the NRL….

Onwards and upwards and well done fans for creating a great atmosphere after 60 looooong games away from Mt Smart.

The boys put a good effort in, we're almost too eager at times. Definitely missing quality in the halves, and didn't run good lines (when we did, Harris scored). After everything they've been through it would be fair for the Warriors to play an entire season of home games

the amount of times he would put in a kick and not thread it past defenders has to be the worst in the NRL, he was just lucky yesterday we were able to regather most of them. Most this year (as with his passing) have ended up in defenders hands who then run 80 metres in the other direction often scoring.

At least he took the line on more running yesterday, wasn't great, but it was a start

i almost expect a reshuffle when Walsh is back, because i thought CHT was bloody good at fullback yesterday, and was doing some shit Walsh has absolutely not been doing

That said, Walsh hasn't played behind a pack laying that platform either (okay, the platform was mainly the wings, but you get it)

Yesterday confirmed SJ is totally cooked. He actually played very ordinary, and will not get a better platform to play off.

@mariner4life absolutely, Im hoping to see more of the same from out outside backs helping our pack moving forward. Actually was probably best efforts from Pene and Bunty yesterday too, who have been very underwhelming.

Ironically the best player this year with Curran is Egan, Egan shovelled the ball on lots in previous seasons, but his active sniping has been very effective this year

          SJ is toast for sure

Egan was our stand out in the first 40.

I reckon the hugely maligned DWZ (or, as that absolute deadshit Flannagan would say, Dalin Watene-zelizzsshwwwble) was out best in teh 2nd half. His carries in to the Tigers over and over got us down the field and i reckon lifted everyone

yeah, for those who didn't watch, it was that sort of performance. A winger carting it up was our best. 40 minutes of one-out hit ups from both sides.

so in to the last bye round before the run home

The Panthers can be penned in to one GF spot, and it is who they beat that's up for grabs.

Melbourne are the obvious choice, but that is dependent on a mental reset after rep is done. Bellamy is the master so i don't yet count it out.
The Cowboys are balls deep in it. Would want to get themselves to 2nd and avoid the Panthers if possible.

I don't think anyone else is good enough really. Cronulla, Brisbane and Parra are way to hot and cold, and lack that top end quality.
Then it's the teams fighting for the last spot in the 8, of which Manly currently look the best.
Canberra and the Roosters looked cooked.

Then below them are the teams that have already sacked their coach, or are about to sack their coach.
The spoon is open. The Titans just, they just suck. The Tigers are awful. Yesterday doesn't change what i think about the Warriors. The Dogs look like they will avoid it. The Knights are shit, but slightly less shit than the rest.

no question they finish top, team to beat

Melbourne also know they need to finish second for the home game, Cowboys will push them though.
Mel : sharks, raiders, rabbits, warriors, titans, panthers, broncos, roosters, eels
                Cows: bye, sharks,tigers,dragons,bulldogs,roosters,warriors,rabbits,panthers

Given they are equal on points, the draw suggests Cows are favorites, Melbourne will have to play incredibly well and not rest any stars as they would traditionally would, just to finish second.

I don't think anyone else is good enough really. Cronulla, Brisbane and Parra are way to hot and cold, and lack that top end quality.

All of these three teams can knock off a top team. Inconsistency doesn't matter in a final. I would be wary of a Parra if they make the top four, as they already have a couple of big scalps. Both Cronulla and Brisbane on their day also have big games in them. None are as good as the top three in general though.

Then it's the teams fighting for the last spot in the 8, of which Manly currently look the best.
Canberra and the Roosters looked cooked.

Roosters are about get Matt Lodge and Latrell has an immediate impact for the bunnies. Both of these players could turn these teams around. Enough to win the comp?, I don't think so, but I do expect a late season charge.
Canberra can play a spoiler role, but not win anything, as would rest of middling sides

Then below them are the teams that have already sacked their coach, or are about to sack their coach.

I agree with this summary about the rest, I even suspect Gold Coast without a coach as well very soon. Spoon definitely open, Gold Coast have a pretty good roster, but they have just lost the plot completely and we all know how the warriors and the tigers are playing. Still a coin toss this far out.

i just reckon only having 7 wins at this point makes the rest really hard. It would take a big turnaround to go 5-3 to even come 8th.

If I was ranking/grouping them as of right now - more the eye test than anything else:

                    Panthers

                    Storm - Cowboys

                    Eels - Sharks

                    Broncos

                    Rabbits - Roosters - Dragons - Manly

Though to be fair, Stacy Jones taking to the field himself might add almost as much attacking intent as Johnson at the moment...

Campion could be interesting. Hasn't spent much time coaching from what a quick Google search suggests, but he probably brings the sort of attitude that a few of the Warriors need.

well he was in the coaching box on Sunday with Stacey already, so I can see where those rumours came from

And Walsh heading back to the Broncos. Great trade off that. Seems Aussie players have really battled with the idea of the Warriors being a NZ based side.
