From what I've been told, Felix Kalapu has signed for the Force for next year.

Was wondering where he got to. All the other starters from the U20’s have had a couple of games this far. Sititi seems a Rodney So’oailo type loosie.

Would be great if we could get Tuipulotu this week. Assume Sullivan is still out. Maybe put out a team like:

                1 Hodgman
                2 Vikena
                3 Ta'avao
                4 Dalzell
                5 Tuipulotu
                6 Gibson
                7 Choat
                8 Ekuasi
                9 Funaki
                10 Plummer
                11 Rayasi
                12 Evans
                13 Heem
                14 Lam
                15 Trainor

                16 Apisai
                17 Lay
                18 Ahio

                20 Peita

Has there been an update on his injury?

There wasn't even a mention of how severe it was. Just described as a neck injury during training in SA

@Duluth Given that he hasn't played since 9 July, you'd have to be concerned with how serious the injury is.

As the NPC team heads into the semi-final against Wellington on Friday night. We have an injury update on several players:

                        • Angus Ta’avao left the field on Friday night with a spinal injury. Gus is doing well but will not be considered for selection this week.
                        • Salesi Rayasi suffered a high ankle sprain against Taranaki and will not be available for the remainder of the season.
                        • Adrian Choat received PCL ligament damage in the knee against Taranaki and will not be available for the remainder of the season.
                        • Zarn Sullivan is still recovering from a left scapula fracture and will not be available for the remainder of the season.

                          @Tim shit a spinal injury...doesn't sound great.

That was indirectly from that player putting a foot out to stop the try wasn't it?

Slid in with the feet and collided with Angus bending him backwards.

So glad to see that carded. Player proved (by looking really baffled about the card) just how some don't even understand that you can't slide in with the feet to stop a try yet it goes unpunished most of the time.

You'd have to think he'll be on their radar after his performance in Maori - Ireland Game 1.

Team announcement for the semi final on Wednesday

So maybe Sullivan was in contention for the AB XV?

You'd have to think he'll be on their radar after his performance in Maori - Ireland Game 1.

Yep - i'm saying if not for injury Zarn would be in the mix.

Auckland's 54-19 semifinal defeat to Wellington could be the final act of Alama Ieremia's coaching tenure with the province.

As is customary every year Auckland are set to review their campaign in the coming weeks but with Ieremia's five-year contract concluding, New Zealand's largest province are expected to move in a different direction.

In his first season at the helm Ieremia guided Auckland to their first provincial title in 11 years.

In the campaigns that followed Auckland lost the 2019 semifinal; the 2020 final and failed to reach the post-season last year when player-led feedback forced assistant coach Filo Tiatia to resign and leading players, including Blues No 8 Hoskins Sotutu and prop Ofa Tuungafasi, to leave. Auckland finished this season with a 6-5 record. Ieremia wasn't helped by losing assistant coach Daniel Bowden to Japanese club Toshiba in August, with the inexperienced Jono Hickey thrust in to lead the injury-disrupted backline.

Former All Blacks midfielder Ieremia has held previous coaching roles with Wellington, the Hurricanes, Samoa and Suntory.

                                          Alama's win percentage by year

                                          2018 - 91.7%
                                          2019 - 45.5%
                                          2020 - 66.7%
                                          2021 - 50% (only 2 matches)
                                          2022 - 58.3%

                                          Since winning in 2018 it's been 56.8%

2020 was a good year in terms of results and they hosted the final. However Ieremia should've ended his time with Auckland after that season. The conflict with the players became public early in 2021 but it started in 2020
