the under-rating of Jeff Wilson does my head in
also, videos of this era of NPC rugby makes me so sad.

If Jonah and Cully weren’t playing at the same time he’d be more revered.
The vids are great fun to watch though, I caught a shot of myself ( aged 18 ) in the crowd at the Wellington vs Counties game in 1995, Jonah and Joeli ran pretty rampant.

I'm still waiting for the All Blacks channel to release a full length cleaned up version of The good, the bad, and the rugby.
This is obviously transferred from VHS.

@g-man Ignorant 20 year old me was at that game in the North stand. Initially we were scared that the plane would crash into the stands it was so low. On the way out we saw many exhausted and bleeding policeman sitting around and I thought - what the hell have these guys been through so that I could watch a game of footy? Being better informed later in life and having visited SA in 99 on a footy trip, (we saw the Blues and the Chiefs both loose to the Stormers!) if I had my time again would likely have been on the other side of the barricades, at least figuratively. We stayed in Cape Town with a wonderful 'Cape Coloured' (as they called themselves) family half of whom were fanatical All black Supporters and the rest Bok fans. It was great fun. We were also guided around Robin Island by a remarkable and eloquent man who spent 20 years a few cells down from Nelson Mandela. An amazing educating experience about courage, resolve and endurance.
