Thoroughly enjoyed this, the documentary of the 1989 tour of Wales and Ireland.

There's a couple more out there, I think there's on called Blood, Sweet and Touring which is a French tour, and theres a 1991 one. Also a good one if you can find it is tv programme of the 1992 tour to South Africa which goes on tour but then also has old ABs in NZ discussing the rivalry with the Saffas.

I'll have a search for the others after work today.

Thanks. That one was very good, some of the match footage is very good and the behind the scenes stuff is fun.

Despite the caption, the full vid is available to watch now.

Thanks, just finished watching it. These are absolutely superb documentaries. It funny how Michael Jones loves to play his guitar, Bryan Williams said he loved to take his on tour too. So much good behind the scenes footage, it's the little things, when JK is coaching Zinzan how to play the sax and ZB gets it right and says "that's the bugger!".

I will watch that South Africa one when I get in from work tomorrow.

AS an FYI the South Africa one, IIRC, is more a general doco than the other two. (Just so you're not disappointed).

I'm not sure if kiwis would consider him a national treasure

There's still a big power junction box on the sidewalk in Rotorua - fully painted with a mural of Buck leading the haka, and the demand "Bring Back Buck"

That is cool. All being well I will be in Rotorua in July so I would love to check that out.

I may have overstated "big" somewhat - it's one of those sidewalk junction boxes, waist-height. Just past the school on Otanga Road.
It does bring a small smile to my dial every time I ride past it when visiting sister/niece/nephews nearby.
Was about to post a screenshot from Google-Street-View, but that would ruin the suspense/disappointment of your highlight of visiting Rotorua.

@mikedogz some names in that lot.

1980 those would be the two top teams in NPC.

    @mikedogz https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1980_National_Provincial_Championship

Was a Manawatu supporter in those days (lived in Pahiatua as a kid), but then the mighty Bush made First Division under Sir BJ! And '10' beer was launched in green and red...

I was at that game, me and about 50 other people.
Google tells me it was a Friday.

JKs try was running towards us, but not sure I remember it or if I'm remembering one of the 100 times I've since seen it on tv/you tube.

The opening ceremony was a sight to be hold.
I can honestly say that it was the best RWC opening ceremony up to that point.

@WestieFella I remember the Friday, was opening game of WC, and was really struggling to catch the imagination of the public (in NZ at least). I know I made sure I got home from work for it. JKs try was one of things I think was a bit of wake up call to everyone that WC was actually happening.

On JK I was at a lunch in Brisbane a few years back, and he was asked the who he thought the best player he had played with or against, he said without doubt it was JK. He only had one call on the field "Give me the ball", and then was a nightmare to try and tackle.
