I have no problem with the concept but don't like the draw. My two favourite teams are playing each other and there's only two other matches I would really support one team over the other (Highlanders v Crusaders, Blues v Brumbies).

The later game is 8pm is Rebels Canes.

It was a 2 year deal, Victoria Gov't money pays all the teams a certain amount, they do alright out of it.

It is the early game Friday. 6pm local.

The later game is 8pm is Rebels Canes.

Which city is going to pay the dollars to Sanzaar to hold it here? Think thats what it's about money, and having it early in Aus helps to give game a boost before NRL/AFL start.

i know im bias but i always thought Forsyth Barr at the start of the season seemed like an obvious place for a super round, thousands of people looking for an excuse to party

Lack of direct flights and accommodation for 11 teams might be a bit of an issue?

The additional games are tougher for NZ teams and easier for the Aussie teams. The NZ teams that play MP twice also have an advantage over the other NZ sides

As long as the rivalry matches are rotated each season, that's the best we can hope for. Not ideal though.

Rivalries are built through history, not like this.

The fact the Blues/Chiefs are not in this "rivalry" thing when they share borders, kinda makes it an even dumber concept.
