That’s it. Akira was great in places but we lost the back row battle so I cannot give it to two from this area.

I went for bower as best rookie of the series

Bower, Akira & Ardie. Bubbling under, Will scored a great try but wasn't as consistent as those three. Reece also played well. BBBR had some moments too
Reiko wasn't good, neither were BB or Jordie and Codie Taylor stank.

Next tier - Reece, Akira
Then - Jordan, Bower

Yeah, he did. He still did well to play so many minutes and seemed to get better as the game went on. Still his mistake in our 22 was unforgivable. The good things he did did not outweigh that.

I'm thinking he's a 7 who's been shoe-horned into 8 as he's such an exceptional player and wonder if he's a better 7

I don't think it matters where you play him. He will play exactly the same way. You have to have Ardie in your team. It is just which two other players you want to pick. and what skillsets you want

And the missed tackle for his first involvement.

I'm having more trouble than last week to pick 3. At least last week Reece, Smith, Bower were all good and pretty much error free. Our best highlights reels tonight were probably Ardie and Akira, but they also made multiple knock-ons and other fuckups and went missing for long periods.
No votes from me. -
I could only vote for Ardie then added Nepo only because he came back on not 100% and tried hard.
Nearly ticked BBBR for the number of carries. Did what was obviously asked. -

Savea showed his true worth as a 30 minute impact player, as long as someone fires him up before coming on.
Akira was anonymous until you realise it's him making runs and tackles, not Savea.
Bower tried his guts out, his only failing being part of an atrocious defensive system.
