I feel like we are being too kind to Kane here.
Amazing player, one of our best ever. Genuine good guy by all accounts.
But - is he playing for his average at this point?
Why is he out there taking singles and the odd 2 still? What's the point given where the game is poised? He's making it worse for every incoming batsman.
I really don't know what he's thinking

Our current tactics basically relies on either Allen coming off (which doesn't seem to happen often enough or Phillips playing a blinder. If Williamson stays in the team he should at least drop down one to give Phillips more time at the crease and not having to go straight from ball one.

Too much pressure on those 2 due to Kane being a hand brake ,You can see Conway under too much Pressure as soon as Allen gets out.
It’s no wonder Kane has lost his IBL contract. -
Kane is fucken hopeless in T20s
