I'll stand up for Mike. Should never be in the test squad. But, is a lock every day of the week in the pyjama cricket. Which is interesting as a young cricketer he looked a veey good top order four day bat. I just don't see him as a bowling all rounder

four test tour to Australia in a couple of summers. Can we please start preparing for that now so we do not completely embarrass ourselves?
Also CA fire the first shots by not giving Qld a test, and suddenly the pressure is on the Qld Government. You do NOT fuck with the populaces access to cricket.

Brassed me off no end his life time ban. He was just a dumb kid easily influenced by the wrong crowd. He should have been rehabilitated. And then you have some blokes from the sub-continent doing it for years without punishment and Australians caught cheating in SA and we're back in 12 months. Sick.

Nathan Smith is a good option, not convinced Clarkson will be more than a journeyman at international level.

Right decision. Curtains down on a very good career. Certainly one of NZs best ever.
A great combo of longevity AND class.
Sort of a bowling equivalent of Ross Taylor, not QUITE World class maybe but there wouldn’t be a team in his era who wouldn’t have had him in the mix in their squads ( ok maybe except for Australia in recent years )

Well, clearly the top 61 of all time is World Class, I stand by what I said.
Southee misses out by heaps by that measure…..
