New Zealand Rugby is run by inept morons !!!!!
New Zealand cricket "hold my beer......"
In between rugby, cricket and netball, along with recent scandals in cycling, NZ elite sport at the management level is a dumpster fire

Most NZ elite sporting organizations have been poorly run recently.

Mate as I keep saying , all the ones who can run sport better are too bloody busy on sports forums!! Bugger it all, there seems to be so much knowledge being wasted.

The part I don't understand is the private owners think they will actually be able to make money and make the "NZ20" any more popular with fans than the Super Smash is. Good luck to them though, I would love to see dometic T20 with averages attendances of ~10K.

They don't care about the NZ fans. It is all about selling a product with connectivtity to other circuit competitions. It will be detrimental to the development systems for NZ cricket. While the Super Smash does appear to look a bit village, it is really good for our systems.

I really enjoyed the super smash last year, the standard was a bit low but the sides are pretty evenly matched so you get exciting games still.
We will see some really good young players come through this year. I expect there will be several guys under 20 who will play key roles for their provinces. With Otago Tom Jones and Hugo Bogue will likely play big parts. Bogue isn't yet 18 and has been dominating at club and provncial A level. If we go to a franchise model, we won't see these guys. The spots will be taken up by Ebglishmen, Indians and Sri Lankans.
