@Hooroo was going to be next week, but she isn't fit enough. Looking like one more trail, and then debut on the 16th of May

Looks like a couple of weeks off the punt for me as am away on family holiday in the US and none of the apps will let me in!

Would be nice to have the extra income to offset the extra spending but can’t have it all!

Interesting Kentucky Derby, run in pissing rain and heavy slop. Bookies favourite undefeated Maximum Security went wire-to-wire to get to the finish-line first, but a stewards inquiry and 20+ minute wait overturned the result, first time in Derby history, to award the trophy to Country House, a 65-1 longshot. Coming into home turn Maximum Security was in the 2-slot and was panicked by the 150,000 screaming speactators and went wide, impacting a couple horses run, but not becessarily Country House, but stewarts made the decision and broke some hearts.

The rules over there are dq where in Nz and Aus he would be relegated to second. BUT, NZ and Aus he would not have been relegated to second due to the margin he won. Tough tough call in my mind.

I think you are wrong about the reason he went wide, he didn’t jump wide which you would see when a horse spooked by crowd does, he drifted and push wide.

                Shit result in my mind.

It was the jockey who claimed crowd spooked his horse; and then later another jockey said same, said he saw Maximum Security dart at the noise. Analyst Jerry Bailey, who won something like 6,000 races including a coupe Derbies, backed them up. Presumably all three know more about that track than I ever will, so I defer to them.

I'd say they would be bang on then. Watching the replay a few times, it certainly didn't look like that. That makes the DQ even more of a shambles

Polly Grey $4 on tab. Hopefully better with aus bookies once markets are up (anytime now)

Track suits too. She should go fairly well. Fitness is an issue but we think we have her there or thereabouts.

Great run! Makes me glad I looked at this thread this morning.

Back to Rotorua to repeat the dose of her last start there hopefully. Her last start has a line through as we can't explain how it went so bad. Missed kick, got checked, packed sad and strolled home.

We had Opie aboard but now he can't make weight so looking elsewhere

Very good chance Mulligans runs next Thursday

Yeah pretty much all the Aus bookies are usually morning of or at best the day before for NZ races. Only Neds has the early markets but Im banned from Neds so boohoo.

Do you use PuntersApp @mariner4life ?? It's brilliant for notifcation when odds are available. Also shows the odds across all the bookies so can place the bet with those who want to pay you the most when it wins.

Yeah pretty much all the Aus bookies are usually morning of or at best the day before for NZ races. Only Neds has the early markets but Im banned from Neds so boohoo.

Do you use PuntersApp @mariner4life ?? It's brilliant for notifcation when odds are available. Also shows the odds across all the bookies so can place the bet with those who want to pay you the most when it wins.

i do, it's fucking sending me market movers right now.

haha that farken horse noise as a notifcation? The wife HATES it! She use to actually hate me on the punt in general until I started making withdrawls etc. Now often get the question on a sat arvo "how much are WE up?"...>WE??????

their tipping is pretty shit though, they very rarely get anything right.

@mariner4life will do. We are a little unsure if we will start her at the moment it seems. Will see how she goes today and tomorrow.

Her gallop on Tuesday was good.

Our three year olds are all performing too which is good. They should be at the races in the next month or so and Ricky Baker is back at work and loving it as he gets a spot on food lane which is the race leading from the house to the stables. Anyone on food lane knows they will get a carrot each time you walk past.

When is your horse running mate?
