Chapman ... nearly fluffs his lines. Skies it into gap to get 100 ...

Turned on at 4-2 after the first over.

Chapman completely 180’d the game. We looked buried.

Not that we’ve won yet ….

    Ok we have now.

Huge shout out to Neesham too. 121 partnership.

Caught that from the 13th over (Neesh on 15, not sure what Chapman was on).

But pretty much mistake free from there on, baring a couple of bruises for Neesh, a squeezed out yorker and Chapman's miscue for the ton.

Have been dubious previously but I see what they see in Chapman now. Those 3 x bdys v SSA in the 18th over oozed class, especially the 3rd (on-drive punch thing), all timing and for (what appears to be) a little fulla he's got some power.

Watched the first 10 overs, then the last 5.

Surprisingly good turnaround on a high scoring ground. Chapman looked class all series, has really grabbed his chance. Surely will look for an ODI spot now? Sodhi managed to get some tight overs in. Milne's first was excellent ... generally a bloody good result ot draw a series in Pakistan.

Think we've found our new guy to come in for Kane's injury

    1. Finn Allan
    2. Devon Conway
    3. Tom Latham
    4. Daryl Mitchell
    5. Mark Chapman
    6. Glenn Phillips
    7. Jimmy Neesham
    8. Michael Bracewell
    9. Matt Henry
    10. Adam Milne
    11. Trent Boult

    My world cup squad

Stacked batting lineup as conditions will see high scoring games

Finn Allan worth the risk since its so batting friendly. We may need a knock of 100 off 50 to win a game and thats him

Chapman is not even in the ODI squad for the series starting on Saturday. Given that our selectors aren't flexible enough to change their minds at the last minute, it's highly unlikely he has any chance of making the world cup squad.

Let's see how many runs the ODI batsmen can score without Chapman. Young has done nothing in the T20s to deserve continued selection.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. I don't recall anyone questioning Chapman's exclusion from the ODI team prior to this tour. I do recall some people wondering why he keeps getting selected however.

Fair - but that is what performing does; it puts you on people's radar.

He may still be considered for the WC if nobody else puts their hand up. That's the problem with picking the two squads prior to the tour commencing. It leaves no wiggle room to accommodate players who stand out. Is it fair to now drop a player from ODI squad so they can include Chapman? I don't know.

I just read that myself. Sensible decision in the end, and they didn't end up having to drop someone else from the tour to do it.
