@Bones I'm pretty sure the key pass was Clark and he's getting no love for it

The comms when showing the replay even said the key to the try was the pass skipping Clarke…as the ball was in his hands being passed!

I had question marks over Clarke pre game, but I thought he was excellent. Hoping he gets another go next week.

I like him at 11 with Jordan at 14. I think Telea or Narawa can cover either wing to be honest.

That was hilarious - I actually rewound the replay at that point to make sure I heard them correctly!

Wing is in a good spot now, especially after the days of Bridge etc. That will be a much bigger strength for us this WC.

Aaron Smith's passing was perfect. R.Mo got garbage. The backs went nowhere once Fozz-ball was in full swing.

Give it a rest. You don’t like Foster and blame him for everything shit and give him no credit for anything good. We get it.

There is a Foster thread you should acquaint yourself with and set up camp. Leave the match threads for …. The match.

@No-Quarter yea I think across the pack we have some excellent depth now too. Props were a worry for a while.

If we can get our 23 right, then we're as good a team as any. The recent past we've probably had a few too many passengers on the bench.

I know it's hard to compare eras but the 2015 bench was absolutely stacked.

We're kind of playing three sevens when Papalii comes on, so I don't know if the balance of the bench is right.

    My main takeaway.

How many different ways can you fucken pronounce Creevy?

Before or after he runs through you?
Closest non-CGI human resemblance to a living minotaur I have ever seen..

🤣🤣🤣 at the twits saying R. Mo is shit. Aaron Smith's passing was a fucking masterclass. He had DMac running hard and flat and that ball was right in front of him every. single. time. R.Mo basically came on with the ABs in full Fozz-ball. An absolute average second 40.

I noticed in the NZ XV game Weber was mostly passing slower but ok but onto very static runners

I heard that cane was snapped squashing a fly that was buzzing round the ABs table post match. Even though there was fly spray available for a humane fly death.

Good point. Thought the Cane/Ardie/Frizell combo worked pretty well as a unit but went down a bit when Frizell went off.

Ardie seemed to play a much tighter game and I wonder if Ryan has made some changes in roles and tactics but has yet to get the replacement bit quite right.

Perhaps A Smith could play till he's about 48. Just needs to jog from one set piece/ruck to another and pass all day long.

How the All Blacks broke Argentina open with Jordie Barrett

How the All Blacks broke Argentina open with Jordie Barrett

Barrett has quickly become the answer at No 12 which has changed the whole dynamic of the backline. Foster has the second five he needs to run his playbook.

@Duluth The last two sentences of the article (that come straight after the one in the link) are critical

"The Test against South Africa will be another good challenge for Barrett in his evolution into a Test midfielder.

Another impressive performance will seal the deal for Barrett as the All Blacks’ 12 heading into the World Cup".

Big test for Jordie. Irrespective of how it plays out though he will remain a big step up on what we have had for the past few seasons.

I am surprised (if AB stats can be believed) how (comparatively) light he is though. 8kgs less than Rieko and lighter than ALB
