After Aus all out for 199, India have a squeaky bum time chasing at 20/3
    Could be a tough chase

Hard to get interested in this CWC. Maybe that'll change closer to the knockouts

A decent game on later today:

Virat Kohli is the best ODI batsman of all time and i don't think it's close

          Averages 57 after 270 innings
Scores a hundred every 5 and a half innings
Passes 50 a little over every 2nd innings
          Career strike rate of 94

Has scores of 85 and 55* so far this Cup. He's the guy you need to get if you're going to win this tournament

Hard to argue that but I’d love to have seen what Viv Richards could have done with today’s bats, bowling attacks etc.

myth, the modern bowler with their required list of variations is far better at limited overs stuff than ever before.
And that's before you add in the vast improvements in fielding, both on-field and in the time spent on placements.

                Not entirely.

The 80s was a who’s who of greats, then again many of them were on Richards own team. The ODI game was still in its infancy.

I think the main point I’m making is Viv could whack it a mile with a comparative toothpick compared to what guys today use which makes the fielding somewhat redundant.

It woulda been fun to watch.

I reckon he is second best of all time, behind Viv.

I watched the game, 6 dropped catches by Australia and their batting wasn’t much better. Pakistani bookmakers must have made a killing. Not performing like an Australian cricket team for sure

Because they have completely abandoned the one-day game
Look at the side they have picked. It's basically the test side with zampa and Maxwell
                          And zampa is shit.

If Australia don't care about 50-over cricket then it's in trouble as a format, just as thr BCCI want

It’s weird how hard you to have to work to find out that there’s a World Cup going on. The 50 over format is dead

Wickets, umpires call? That looked like it was easily taking leg. Is there a certain portion of the ball that needs to be hitting wicket for tmo?

So India thump Pakistan making the NRR scenario interesting for Pakistan if a close challenger. India of course looking solid at home

I havent seen a ball bowled yet, so dont know if the pitch is a road, but I dont think England would be overly happy with this start. The onslaught continues.. 79/0 after 10. RR 7.9

Gurbaz is batting like Baz, Ibrahim a bit more sedate at the other end.
