Wait. India and Australia are playing a white-ball series starting tomorrow? That is hilarious.

Sums it up (partly) why I valued the cricket world cup as only being worth, of my time and money, as much as free 5-minute highlights per match on TVNZ+. Which, I admit, I even stopped watching those half way through the tournament.

Actually. Maybe I'm just old and jaded .....

@Rapido I am definitely old and jaded.

The only interesting thing is how the Aussies left from CWC perform afte a 5-day bender.

Maybe that is it, but the disillusionment by a whole load of sports mad Polish chicks on here is apparent. First huge amounts of discussion about rugby, a sport that most of us truly loved, and now cricket as well, it seems. Both sports being ruined by administrations that don't seem to care, one through laws and officiating and the other through greed and selfishness.

I even considered cancelling my Sky sport subscription yesterday. Sigh.

It's also worth noting that until the last decade or so ODIs used to have great run chasess where the drama would slowly build.

Now with T20s changing the skillsets of players a high drama ODI chase is rare.

How many games of the 48 game CWC truly went down to the wire? A handful?

This sums up my thoughts so well.

Interesting insight from Ravi Ashwin on the Oz bowling tactics in the Final.

Actually that's at least the millennium.

    Still funny.

Can you have a proper choke when there are two teams involved? What the opponent does has an influence too. In this case the big show (off).

So it could be an all-time title for Greg Norman (last millennium, but whatever).

How awesome were Australia that day. So good. So so good.

Imagine wanting to go back and find a comment not saying how awesome Australia were that day when they've just won the world cup so you can have a wee cry . Bizarre.
