I don't really understand not taking the easy 3 points there.

They need 4 tries and win to go.

Still scoreboard pressure is a thing too... but that does make sense

If they just win without 4 tries and Ireland get 1 BP they are out. So 4 trys is the first goal I would imagine.

        Not true.

If Scotland win by 8 points without a BP then they and Ireland are both on 14 points. SA go through on 15 and then Scotland go through having beaten Ireland.

Winning and denying Ireland any BP is enough.

I wish Sam Cane, Ardie would "clarify" each penalty the way Ireland do

Unlikely to beat them by 8 going for 3 though.

Scotland looking clueless on attack, solid defense for Ireland -- Scotland need to straighten their attack

@Mattasaurus playing like they are 5 down in the 79th minute.

Ireland very good at moving slowly atbevrrynruck.

What is it about Ireland that allows them to walk around the side of breakdowns, or just plain enter from where the opposition halfback should be?

Watching Ireland finally makes me understand why everyone hated Richie McCaw and called him the biggest cheat, etc. They're pretty good at walking the thin line. Fuckers

I think they often start from hindmost but then do every thing they can to end up in front of the ball or disrupt the ruck.
