From Eastbourne - the walk to Pencarrow lighthouse is a nice outing on a fine day. As is the walk around Redrocks.

Good call, although if time is an issue, I'd suggest a walk to butterfly creek might be better time spent - wicked views and if new to NZ she get a smile out of being followed around by piwakawaka. If not unfit, you could do both on the same day, then top it off with a bomb off day's bay wharf followed by some hot chips and a latte at the pavilion.

Can confirm. That is a sensational walk.

Great call. She's pretty fit (rides a Triumph Bonnie) and walks Exmoor so that's an excellent suggestion. Know Day's Bay well and there's a Katherine Mansfield connection too.

@Victor-Meldrew actually, the artist (Dan Mills) also did a fair few of the murals dotted around the city too.

Hawthorn is a neat little speakeasy to visit.

Up a flight of winding stairs, down a laneway, or tucked into the back of a hotel, here’s how to find Wellington’s hidden bars.

La Cloche -Kaiwharawhara one of the best cafes in Wellington in my opinion.
Also if in Tawa there is Urban Eatery which is also very good.
